Join us for an unforgettable journey through the haunted history of Independence, Missouri!

Our ghost tour begins at the 1859 Jail, where murders, violence, and jailbreaks made this one of the most notorious places in town. Many believe the spirits of those who lived and died there have never left.
From there, we’ll uncover the strange stories surrounding the Truman Harpy Clubhouse, where late-night card games, cigar smoke, and unexplained happenings have left their mark. Some visitors and staff claim they can still smell cigar smoke lingering in the building long after the last card game ended.

We’ll visit the Courthouse Exchange, where mysterious occurrences have been reported, including unexplained televisions turning on by themselves and other unexplained activity.
Of course, no Independence ghost tour would be complete without the story of Wild Bill Hickok and the famous shootout. We’ll also share the chilling tale of a man killed by a shotgun whose spirit is said to still wander the Square.

Hear the dark history of the hangings that took place on the Courthouse Square, including the enormous crowds that gathered on nearby Cannon Hill to watch.
And finally, you’ll hear a personal family story about a very special visitor who appeared to my grandmother, one that has stayed with our family through the years.

History comes alive after dark… and some of the stories never really died.
