Amtrak
The Missouri River Runner — Amtrak’s service from St. Louis to Kansas City — will expand this year to three daily trains running April–June. IRIS: Independence Ride Service
IRIS is an on-demand ride service serving all of Independence. Operated by the City of Independence in partnership with KCATA, zTrip, and RideCo, IRIS makes it easy to get around without a car. Riders can book trips in advance or on demand using the app, by phone, or online.
RideKC Freedom Paratransit
RideKC Freedom Paratransit is available to visitors who are ADA-eligible in their home city or have an apparent disability. Guests may use the service for up to 21 days per year and must contact the RideKC Freedom Regional Eligibility Office before riding.
