Happy Birthday President Truman!

President Harry S. Truman’s birthday is May 8 and to celebrate there are a variety of activities, events and programs at the Harry S. Truman Presidential Library & Museum. 

On the Independence Square: 

Celebrate President Truman with Cakes and Quotes! Local businesses will have famous quotes from the president displayed in their store fronts and sweet treats.  The public is invited to participate in a scavenger hunt with these quotes for a chance to win a special Truman-themed gift package.

You are also invited to sign a giant birthday card that will be on display near the Captain Truman Statue at the corner of Maple Ave and Liberty on May 7.
