Independence boasts eight restaurants participating in Kansas City Restaurant Week 2020. From Jan. 10-19, Kansas City Restaurant Week is your chance to enjoy some of our finest restaurants at a special, discounted price.

Experience fine dining on the historic Independence Square. During #KCRW2020, enjoy a three-course lunch or dinner for $15 and $35, respectively. With offerings like Crab Cake and Chorizo Hash, a Bison Meatloaf Burger and Lobster Whipped Potatoes, this menu at Ophelia’s is sure to push you out of your culinary comfort zone.

During KCRW, V’s Italiano Ristorante offers extra special value with a two-for-one lunch and dinner menu. For lunch, you and a guest can enjoy the express lunch buffet, featuring salads, pastas, sides and desert, for just $15. It’s hard to go wrong at Cafe Verona, an upscale, Italian restaurant on the Independence Square. The Restaurant Week menu promises to please both the adventurous eater seeking fresh takes on classic dishes and guests seeking modern comfort food. We like the sound of the Grilled Salmon Avocado BLT, Gorgonzola Crusted Strip Steak and Pistachio Gelato, but those are decisions you’ll have to make for yourself.

Hereford House in Independence is kind of restaurant you go to hungry. Start lunch with a soup or salad, then try the Hereford House Steakburger or Chicken Pot Pie and top it all off with the Double Chocolate Fudge Brownie or Carrot Cake — all for $15. The dinner menu is equally enticing — and all the more filling. Consider the Hereford House Strip, Braised Beef Short Ribs or Bourbon Glazed Salmon. Hereford House is conveniently located off of I-70, just minutes from the Independence Center and Silverstein Eye Centers Arena.
