President’s Day Panel: The Presidency and the Press
Margaret Talev, President of the White House Correspondent’s Association, and another member of the White House Press Corps will join former White House reporter Karen Ball and Dr. Betty Winfield, author of “FDR and the News Media,” to discuss the White House Press Corps and the relationship dynamics between journalists and the Commander in Chief. Admission is free. Reception at 6:00pm and then the program will begin at 6:30pm.
Join us for a panel discussion exploring the relationship between the White House Press Corps and the President, how it has evolved over the past century, and how it works today.
Margaret Talev, President of the White House Correspondents’ Association, will moderate the panel of experts who have covered or written about five different administrations, including:
