KC Food Truck Face-Off showcases the next generation of Kansas City’s food truck scene. In this friendly food competition, you get to be the judge! Eat quarter-sized entrees from each of the competing food trucks, drink beer and spirits from local breweries and distilleries, and be merry with yard games and more. Local food critics will critique each entrée and award the Critic’s Choice Award, but you get to vote to decide who is deemed the 2019 Rookie Food Truck of the Year!
Brandon Simpson, owner of the Jazzy B’s food truck, will emcee the event. He will visit each competing food truck to give you a play-by-play account, as well as interact with the panel of food critics, to help you decide which truck will win your vote. Enjoy local restaurants, craft beverages, and historic sites before the event or even catch a movie after.
Food Truck Face-Off is located on the north side of the historic Independence Square. The event is sponsored by Mid-Continent Public Library’s Square One Small Business Services, Jazzy B’s Food Truck, the Ennovation Center, the Business of Food Trucks, and the Independence Chamber of Commerce.
